'Es Vedrà, Ibiza 1', is my latest artwork from my ‘Wish you were here’ series, focussing on special places that hold emotional significance to myself and others. This is one of those places where the vibe is almost spiritual and marks the beginning of some of the most magnificent evenings.

About the concept
Wish You Were Here is a series rooted in memory, connection, and the places that stay with us. The idea was sparked by a conversation with my mum while she was in intensive care — a quiet moment that reminded me how deeply we’re shaped by the spaces we hold dear. She spoke about the sea, its energy, and what it meant to her. That moment has stayed with me.
Although she’s no longer here, that conversation became the foundation for this series — a tribute not only to her but to the way we all anchor our emotions in place. These works explore how landscape, memory, and connection collide. Whether it's a coastline, a sunset, or a lyric that resonates, Wish You Were Here invites viewers to reflect on their own stories, and the places they return to, again and again.
Wish You Were Here" is a series that distils moments of connection, memory, and nostalgia into visual form.
Techniques used
This is a unique one-of-a-kind original, derived from photography, then broken down and rebuilt digitally to create a style and composition that is a hallmark of Kingman's work. The piece is then lovingly and painstakingly created physically using techniques such as spray painting, stencil making, hand painting, screenprinting and other finishing methods to bring the artwork to life.
