James Kingman is an emerging London-based contemporary artist whose mixed media practice combines painting, screen printing and street art. He finds a happy balance between spontaneity and control, creating engaging and tongue-in-cheek reflections on contemporary society.
Coming from the world of design, with over two decades of experience in the creative industry, James has turned his attention back to creating his own art.
Pulling his first screen print in July 2020, James has gone on to showcase his work at The Other Art Fair, DCon and Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair as well as displaying at various galleries across the UK and Europe. He was recently awarded the Thames-Side Print Studio Prize for his piece ‘Colours of the Brain’ at the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair in 2022.
