It is an art series that delves into the realm of censorship and the paradoxical treatment of the human body on social media as well as in wider society.
It is as playful as it is thought-provoking in confronting the absurdity of censorship policies that often classify something as natural and benign as a nipple as offensive or taboo. 'Just a Nipple' functions as a mirror, offering a mischievous reflection of society and its attitudes towards the human body. How do we respond to the sight of something as innocuous as 'just a nipple'? Do we baulk in disgust, exercise self-moderation, mirroring the behaviour of social media platforms with their frequently absurd approaches to content moderation? Do we embrace it in the name of freedom of expression or body positivity, or do we simply accept it as 'Just a Nipple'?
